We can help make your retirement dreams come true!

Our Specialty Is-

HELPING FOLKS RETIRE TO NORTH SAN DIEGO COUNTY

Who We Are-

We are a small, family-operated business founded by myself, Ralph Anderson. I am a semi-retired Engineer with over 25 years experience in managing people and projects. My job during my working years was to turn new product concepts and dreams into realities. That's similar to our goal here at Ralph Anderson and Associates which is to help you turn your retirement concepts and dreams into realities.

My primary "Associate" is my wife Patty who is a licensed real estate agent. She is also my real estate mentor and best friend. Patty works out of the prestigious Carlsbad Office of Prudential California Realty. I think you will find her to be honest, competent and cheerful.

Patty's Qualifications-

Has over 14 years of Real Estate experience and more than 165 real estate transactions to her credit  Her satisfied customers are of all ages, including many retirees. She can make your real estate selection and purchase processes go smoothly.

Has SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist) Credentials- This means that she is trained to meet the special needs and concerns of senior citizens.

Has Lived In The North San Diego County Area For Over 25 Years- She can point you to the best locations.

Has Excellent Technical Skills- She will identify Real Estate that meets your specific requirements, Email their MLS listings to you and be prepared to show you your selections when you are available.

Why We Choose to Live in North San Diego County-

Our background- I grew up in the Midwest and spent one of my four Air Force years in Biloxi, MS. The remainder of my adult life was spent in Southern California with over 25 of those years in North San Diego County. My wife Patty was born in Michigan but spent most of her childhood and adult life in Southern California. Over the years, Patty and I have RV’d throughout much of the US and visited Canada, Mexico, Europe and Costa Rica.
We love the climate-
We live in San Marcos where the climate is greatly influenced both by the coastal on-shore winds and by the inland sunshine. Our weather is incredibly mild all year long, the summer humidity is usually low, there are few bugs and we have very few stormy days. We have central air conditioning in our home but seldom use it and we only use our heater for a couple of hours in the mornings and evenings of the colder winter days.
We love the ambience- The Pacific coast with its beautiful cliffs, beaches, harbor and pier, the easily accessible, beautiful city of San Diego, the views of hills, mountains, avocado groves, palms and the year-round flowers and tropical plants, all combine to make this a special place to live.
We love our safe, comfortable, convenient lifestyle- We feel safe living here and we have a great selection of nearby restaurants, convenient shopping and excellent medical facilities.
We love the vast selection of entertainment and activities available- It's almost like living at your favorite resort. There seems to be a nearly unlimited supply of exciting and interesting things to do, many of which never grow old. After living here for much of our adult lives, we still feel like tourists!
Not usually mentioned about other retirement places- We love the feeling of energy and excitement in this vibrant, growing economy. We don’t have a feeling (that exists in some retirement communities) that we are residents of “God’s Waiting Room.” Instead, we feel like we are participating in life at its best.
About the Cost of Living- Home costs are higher than in most parts of the U.S. but I think of it this way- I am paying a little extra for a great retirement lifestyle and my home is an investment that God willing, we will someday pass on to our children and grandchildren.
About living away from our children and grandchildren- We have six children, eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Fortunately, three of our children and one grandchild live nearby. The remainder live in other states and one even lives in Costa Rica. We keep in close touch with all of them by Email, text messaging and telephone. They love to visit us because there is so much to do here and we find that it is easy and not that expensive to hop on a plane and visit them.
