OVERVIEW - Coastal Beauty And A Very Comfortable Year-round Climate - North San Diego County's Coastal Towns and Cities lie along historic, Scenic Highway 101 and extend several miles inland. They feature miles of ocean views with coves and sandy beaches, beach walkways, beach-view restaurants and a marina and fishing pier. Their beautiful public beaches are generally peaceful and un-crowded except during summer vacation months. They have a very moderate climate with winter daytime temperatures in the 60’s (°F), winter nights in the 50’s and summer highs in the high 70’s. The afternoon relative humidity is usually in the 55-65% range. Some mornings are overcast, but the sun still shines approximately 68% of the time possible.
