Its location, only 5.5 miles from the coast gives Ocean Hills Country Club one of the best Climates in the U.S. This mild climate, combined with a resort-like ambiance, provide many opportunities to engage in outdoor activities throughout the year. In addition, a huge selection of on-site and nearby Cultural and Recreational Activities provides an opportunity to live a healthy, interesting and event-filled lifestyle throughout your active retirement years.
Its Location
Located in South Oceanside, just 5.5 miles inland from the beautiful Pacific coast (See a MAP ), it has a nearly ideal climate due to its close proximity to both the cool Pacific ocean and the warmer inland areas. Winter daytime average high temperatures are in the 60’s (°F) and average summer highs range from the high 70’s to mid-80’s. Afternoon relative humidity is in the 40-60% range and the sun shines approximately 70% of the time possible.
In addition to its close proximity to coastal activities, its location near the cities of Vista, Carlsbad, San Marcos and Encinitas places it only a few minutes away from many fine restaurants, movie and live-performance theaters, shopping centers, medical facilities, local colleges and abundance of additional Senior Activities. It also located only approximately 55 minute drive from the San Diego International Airport and San Diego.

This premier Senior Community consists of
eight villages of beautiful
Mediterranean-style homes. They come in a large variety of styles of one and two story, 2 to 4 bedroom, 2, 2.5 and 3 bath,
attached and detached homes, each with a one or two car garage. These modern homes have beautiful
interior designs, some with high ceilings, fireplaces and an abundance of windows.
They each have one or more patios and some have nice views of green belts,
the golf course or of nearby hills. Some even have
ocean views! All landscape maintenance, including maintenance of front yards
and green belts, and all home exterior and roof maintenance is paid for from HOA fees.
A total of 1633 Homes were built here in 3 phases. These phases were
completed in 1984, 1991 and 1999. They come in 15 different floor plans.
Attached homes range in size from 970 to 1888 sq. ft. and detached homes from
1600 to 2800 sq. ft. There usually is a fairly wide selection of homes
offered for sale in Ocean Hills Country Club, although not all home styles are available at any given time.

The Ocean Hills Country Club community consists of 8 villages. The Home Owner's Fees vary from village to village but run in the $416 to $445 per month range. You get a lot of value for your dollar however because these fees pay for a 24 Hour guarded-gate, dusk to dawn security patrol, common area maintenance, all of the sporting and social amenities including golf, basic Cox Cable, RV or boat parking, front yard and roof maintenance and outside painting.
